We recommend a flat sheet rather than a fitted sheet.  

Which chamber should I inflate first? 

We recommend starting with the main body, then inflating the fold out parts after. 

What happens if the pump remains connected and switched on once the maximum air capacity is reached?  

Our electric pump has a built-in temperature control switch, and it will automatically stop when the electric pump overheats.
